Configuring the communication with the terminal (Condensed Work State)
The job computer allows you to configure the compatibility with various ISOBUS terminals. This is necessary, for example, when the ISOBUS standard changes with time, but a terminal cannot be updated. This section describes the parameters required for this.
Serial No.:
- ▪
- "On CAN Bus"
- The serial number of the hardware is transmitted through CAN. Important for working with the "ISOBUS-TC" app.
- ▪
- "Not on CAN Bus"
- The serial number of the hardware is not transmitted.

SECTION-Control
For automatic section control to work on as many terminals as possible, regardless of the manufacturer, you can define the communication with several parameters.
Condensed Work State
- ▪
- "Condensed Work State" – value for:
- –
- Systems with EDS single nozzle switching.
- –
- Systems that work with the latest generation of tractor terminals.
- ▪
- "No Condens. Work State" – value for all other cases.
DDI
- ▪
- "DDI 141 – [161;176]" – old ISO 11783 standard
- ▪
- "DDI 289 – [290;305]" – new ISO 11783 standard. Tractor terminals that fulfil the most recent ISO standards ONLY work with the DDI 289. For the functioning of SECTION-Control, it might be necessary to convert the job computer to DDI 289.
Müller-Elektronik terminals support all of the listed standards.
Section Control / EDS
Parameter for field sprayers with EDS.
This parameter defines how the nozzle statuses are transmitted to the Task Controller. The value to be selected depends on the terminal.
There are terminals that work according to an older ISOBUS standard and recognise nozzles as "sections". Other terminals consider nozzles as "subunits" of the sections.
- ▪
- Nozzle: DET "Section" - Value for terminals that consider the EDS nozzles as sections. This applies for all Müller-Elektronik terminals (status 2015)
- ▪
- Nozzle: DET "Unit" - Value for terminals that consider the EDS nozzles as section subunits.
To see whether the parameter is properly set:
- ▪
- In Section Control, the number of displayed sections corresponds to the number of nozzles. Or there is another indication that the proper number of nozzles has been transmitted.
- ▪
- The nozzles are properly individually switched.
