According to the GDPR, personal data means “any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (referred to as “affected person” in the following): an identifiable person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identification number or to one or more factors specific to his physical, physiological, mental, economic, cultural or social identity.”
a) General use of the website
We do not collect and store any personal data during your visit to our website.
Notwithstanding the above fundamental principles, however, the web server of our host automatically registers access to the websites, and in particular, your IP address. Your IP address is processed while the connection is being established, so that we can provide you with access to our website. The subsequent storing takes place to ensure the safety and integrity of our systems. The processing is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest exists in the respectively mentioned purpose.
Moreover, our host creates log files to ensure system safety. These log files contain the following information:

If you contact us using the email address shown on our website, you share at least your email address with us as well as any other information contained in your email. For us to be able to process your request, we must process this data.

2. Purposes and legal basis for data processing

The processing of your customer account data takes place to provide the functionalities of the customer account and – if you buy something – to process and finalise your order. The processing takes place respectively based on Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b) GDPR. Processing for these purposes takes place based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. c) GDPR in conjunction with § 147 AO and 257 HGB.

Within our company, the respective departments that are responsible for processing your request have access to your data. Data is not transmitted to third-party states, or only when it is necessary to execute your orders, legally prescribed or when you have given us your consent to do so.
Our log files are stored. We store your emails and contacts as long as necessary to process your request, and then store them in case you contact us again with regards to your original question. This does not apply if you initiate a contractual relationship with us in the email. In this case, the storage period depends on the underlying contract. You will then be informed separately about the data processing involved there.
You customer data will be stored for the duration of your customer account. After its termination, they will be deleted immediately. This does not apply to data that is processed within the scope of orders.
We will use your email address for sending the newsletters until you revoke this consent.

2. Google Tag Manager

The information produced by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and saved there. We have activated the IP anonymisation on this website, so that your IP address will be shortened by Google within the Member States of the European Union or in other States party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before they are transmitted to the USA. The full IP address is only sent to a Google server in the USA and shortened there in exceptional cases.

4. Google Adwords
Our website uses AdWords, a Google technology. We use conversion tracking. This means that if you come to our website by clicking on a Google ad, we can detect which ad this was and what behaviour was triggered by this on our website. A cookie is set in the process. This allows us to record the efficacy of our ads for statistics and market research purposes. This data remains anonymous to us, which means that we cannot associate it with you as a person.
Our website also uses the remarketing function of Google Adwords. This function serves to present visitors of the website with interest-related ads within the scope of the Google advertising network. The website visitor’s browser saves cookies on their end device for this purpose, which allow you to be recognised when you call up websites that belong to the Google advertising network. These sites can then present you with ads that are related to contents that you have called up previously on other websites that also use the Google remarketing function. We do not receive any personal data from you through this.

5. Cloudflare
We use Cloudflare’s Content Delivery Network (CDN) to increase the security and speed of our website. Cloudflare acts as a processor for us, which is why your request to our website may be redirected to Cloudflare’s servers, including in the USA. Personal data that is processed is IP addresses. Our use of Cloudflare corresponds to our legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Cloudflare has implemented compliance measures for international data transfers based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
